    I saw the Instagram blurb about someone demo'ing a product and having 3imillion views, but because she didn't do it 'this' way, she missed out on (I think it was around 30k$?!)....... therefore, ya, I'm glad you said no to a free pair of glasses, as that wouldn't have come close to retribution ------ even if they hand bobbined them out of SOLID GOLD AND PLATINUM, dipped in chocolate sauce and rolled in crushed nuts. Though, those last two parts do sound pretty tasty. Smell good, too. And a good crunchy texture. Um.... Ya............ Excuse me, I, I think I hear the 'doorbell'. Ya. Bye.

    My two cents: I loathe "how to videos" with incessant babbling. I usually have to stop watching those videos, just watching, (muted) isn't a way I learn. I don't find you particularly "chatty" or babbling. You only tell specifics about your tools/supplies, and you're going to get ALL those questions in the comments, why not just say it on the video. I like NOT having to think about the question for the entire video and can instead concentrate on what you're showing. Also, I like enough info without info overload, and you don't overload. Your talking during the video is mostly centered on what you're doing. You're not talking about stuff we don't care about - we heard a noise, we of course wondered about it, in seconds you explained with a sentence and returned to your task. That's what I like. Because you're explaining without overload as you go, I find these videos to be excellent. I walk away with very few questions and feel more confident about trying it because of your amount of talking and because it's not useless info you're spouting off. I'm not here to be social, I'm here to learn.

    • @RedCardinalCrafts
      @RedCardinalCrafts 21 день назад

      Thank you for this response. People hate when I talk through these videos but most are here to learn. I also explain in a way that helps complete beginners. I’ve usually explain things the way I would tell my sister or a friend that I would be sitting next to and teaching them. I admit I do get a little too chatty at times but that’s just me. 😉

    • @christinemacpherson2698
      @christinemacpherson2698 21 день назад

      So far your chattiness hasn't been noticed by me, I've been busy learning because my teacher is teaching and I'm able to pay attention because she's not babbling.

    i seen others say the 1 is a cross (name of stich) and the 2 is a twist. so its cross, twist, cross. cross is always to the bonbin moving right. the twist is always moving to the left.. don't know why they all emphasized that.. just sharing..

    This was kind of a revelation to me. I don't know why it never occurred to me to dedicate a sketchbook to a topic like this. I do mostly portraits/figures, so mine would be more like Disney characters, for instance. It lowers the pressure of figuring out what to draw next if at least the category has already been chosen.

    Why do we need to leave in the starter pins for Roseground? What happens with the looseness when you're done?

    • @PatrickSalsbury
      @PatrickSalsbury 14 дней назад

      I think it's because it represents just one unit of a repeating/tiled pattern, so where those starter pins are is where you will have threads coming in from a different Roseground unit/pattern.

    I imagine cross stitch floss would be too smooth to hold shape and to weak to last.

    • @PatrickSalsbury
      @PatrickSalsbury 14 дней назад

      Actually, the first bookmark I did was with embroidery/cross stitch floss. It will hold the shape very well, because that's all in the twists and loops, but it is very slippery. Strong, but slippery. So the bobbins like to wiggle free and fall, and unwind to the floor. Clothes pins would help in that case, but I switched to crochet cotton, which is working extremely well for me in my latest round.

    Tanya I cannot tell you how much I related to this video! Things like this happen to me all the time and sometimes I get lucky and others I have to start all over again! I was so happy that things worked out for you and that you have not lost all of your fantastic artwork. I own a small craft business in the UK and I design and print my own paper collections. I have back ups of all my designs on hard drives, canva, and website. I am terrified that I will lose them! I also have ADD and I can tell you that even though a collection can be stored in several places the odd collection can still just disappear, never to be seen again which is devastating enough but I just can imagine the thought of losing everything!!! I love watching you on RUclips and look forward to seeing you on your next adventure You are inspiring me to make some of my own! Thank you with love Sally xxxx
